Roads & Sewers

One of our core activities, the construction of roads and sewers both to private or adoptable standards provides our customers with site access at an early stage. We regularly deliver Section 38 and 104 schemes to our customers. We also undertake off-site Section 278 schemes for developers and have excellent relationships with local authorities.

Foundations

Shawfield construction can install all types of in situ concrete foundations such as strip, deep strip, reinforced wide strip, raft underpinning, pad and ring beam. As part of the foundation construction we carry out all formwork, steel reinforcement, ground heave protection and tanking.

Retaining Structures

Shawfield construction can supply and install specialist retaining structures and walls. We specialise in systems such as gabion walls, concrete crib retaining walls, in situ concrete walls and masonry walls

Hard Landscaping

Hard paving and landscaping is often undertaken by the company as part of their contract works. Concrete kerbs and edgings, block paving, all types of flagging along with street furniture and off site improvements of pedestrian facilities are typical operations we deliver.
